Goodlet Street

The studio is located in Goodlet Street in Surry Hills, a design nerve centre for Sydney. Goodlet Street was developed around 1900 with terrace houses for labourers. The paperbark trees and telegraph poles with sandstone curbs are evidence of that era of development. Later the local council planted Robinia trees and in 2017 they created nature strips along the narrow footpaths.

Nordie supported by colpol, started to plant out the verges and added the yarnbombing and hanging plants, followed by the involvement of the High Holborn community, the photographs are of the construction through to the mature planting stage of development of Goodlet Street which is now a local attraction.
