Cohen painting

This abstract painting reflects the colourful personality and my relationship with Michál Cohen, who lives in London. The cloud like formations represent the diaspora of friends who live across continents and in different time zones. We are unable to interact with the frequency we enjoyed as students of architecture. The golden background is a glazed ochre representing the earthiness of friendship and a quality of richness. The colour shift from turquoise through yellow and magenta is an abstraction of the shared happiness we enjoy as colourfully happy friends. The organic flowing shapes are a testament to the flexibility and resilience of the friendship through time. I can’t wait for the next lunch with my friends in London.
